New York, November 25-While the main event of Duva Boxing's "Heavyweight Collision" at Madison Square Garden - Vitali Klitschko (Ukraine) vs. Kirk Johnson (Nova Scotia) has a distinct international flavor, the rest of the action-packed card is virtually all NEW YORK.

The co-featured heavyweight attraction pits Buffalo's Baby Joe Mesi (27-0-0, 25 KOs) against Monte Barrett (29-2-0, 16 KOs) of Queens, and promoter Dino Duva announced today that fighters from Brooklyn, Queens, Riverdale, and New Jersey will see action on the card.

DiBella Entertainment's unbeaten flashy welterweight Paulie Malignaggi (15-0, 5 KOs) from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, will make his Garden debut in an eight-round contest. The "Kosovo Kid," light heavyweight Elvir Miriqi (27-1, 16 KOs), fighting out of Riverdale, and the sensational Irish junior middleweight prospect John Duddy (3-0), now hailing from Woodside, Queens, will also appear on the card. In addition, the Duvas' highly-regarded New Jersey duo - undefeated welterweight Kendall Holt (13-0, 10 KOs) from Paterson and West New York's Antonio Espinoza (1-0), the former Cuban amateur star - are slated for action. "We have some of the top local stars-on-the-rise scheduled, giving an already spectacular show even more appeal," said Duva.

Dino Duva, the Totowa-based promoter, made the announcement at God's Love We Deliver in Manhattan, while the fighters delivered turkeys to feed seriously ill New Yorkers on Thanksgiving donated by Gallagher's Steak House and the Dr. Theodore Atlas Foundation. Duva family patriarch and Hall of Famer Lou Duva, and world class trainer/ESPN-2 Friday Night Fights analyst Teddy Atlas and promoter Lou DiBella were also on hand.
