Interviews

Humberto "Zorrita" Soto

Special thanks to the gentleman from Johnny Taco's gym for translating.

Gregory: Tell us a little about the nickname "Zorrita"

Soto: It means "little fox" - I got the name from my grandfather because I was bouncing all around, up and down, playing all day.

Gregory: In Sinaloa where your from, there's a rivalry between Los Mochis (his City) and the capital city Culiacan, where your opponent is from. Do you think this brings anything to your fight tonight?

Soto: No, it doesn't really matter who my opponent is or where he comes from - I train hard no matter what.

Gregory: Can you tell me a little about your plans for the future?

Soto: All that matters right now is this fight. When I win this fight I'll talk with my trainer and managers and see what they want me to do next.

Gregory: Do you think you'll fight more in the US now? Most of your bouts have been in Mexico.

Soto: I'd like to fight more in the United States, there are better possibilities, better opponents, and better money here.

Gregory: Any final thoughts about your upcoming fight?

Soto: I just want to say that I'm in excellent condition - I trained hard for this fight just like I would for any fight. I think this will be a good match to watch.
