Aladdin Hotel (800) 851-1703)
Pricing: 3 | Seating 4 | Events 3
A few times a year, a promoter will host a fight at
the Aladdin. In truth, it’s a terrific venue because
its relatively small stadium style seating is something
akin to watching boxing in a movie theatre. You even
get a drink holders. It seems like a tiny matter, but
if you go to the monthy fights that feature wooden chairs
packed right next to each other, you quickly earn an
appreciate for comfortable seating.
Caesars Palace (1-877-427-7243)
Pricing: 3 | Seating 1 | Events 3
Lately, Caesars has been hosting bouts in its outdoor
arena. The only recommendation I have is to avoid the
bleachers. First, the Las Vegas sun can get pretty intense
at times, and sometimes it will be in your face right
up until the main event. Second, the bleachers are made
of some sort of metal that is specially designed to
bruise your tailbone. One of those football butt-cushions
is definitely recommended. That said, I always have
fun at Caesars. The small size of the area makes it
so that even the top row of the bleachers gives you
a pretty good view of the action.
Mandalay Bay (1-877-632-7800)
Pricing:3 | Seats:4 | Events:5
Mandalay Bay hosts many of Vegas' biggest matchups.
As with any large location, you can get cheap tickets
for these fights, but you better bring binoculars -
okay seats will cost you at least $100. The best thing
about Mandalay Bay is how well they manage their scheduling
- fights run one after the next with minimal time in
between, unlike almost every other casino that makes
you wait for years between bouts.
MGM (1-877-880-0880)
Pricing:3 | Seats:2 | Events: 5
It's no secret that many of the biggest fights in Vegas
come to the MGM. Even though you can buy seats for $25
& $50, they're easily 20 miles away, so be ready
to shell out some cash for a good view. I'm personally
biased here a bit because of a pair of 100 tickets I
bought for a fight last year that put me so far back
that we watched 90% of the fights on the monitor.
Thomas and Mack (739-3267 or 866-388-3267)
Pricing:3 | Seats:2 | Events:5
The famous Thomas and Mack center has been hosting more
events recently. Considering the facility is designed
to handle 19,522 boxing fans, you can be assured that
it is reserved for the really big fights. However, a
place like this doesn’t air-condition itself for
free, so be ready to shell out ten bucks just to park
and you may have to a get second mortgage your home
to afford a beer.
Orleans (800-675-3267)
Pricing: 5 | Seating: 3 | Events: 4
The Orleans is undisputed champion of Las Vegas Boxing,
and lvboxing.com’s pick for best venue three years
straight. There is simply no one else that comes close.
These fights have a devoted group of fans that really
get into it, and for around 35 to 50 bucks you'll a
good view of the ring and a solid night of boxing
South Coast (866-796-7111)
Pricing: 5 | Seating: 3 | Events: 4
The South Coast is the newest addition to Guilty Boxing's
rotation of the Friday Night Fights. Somewhat larger
the The Orleans venue with plenty of good seats, cheap
food and drinks and reasonably priced tickets. Leave
home early to get there on time because it's further
South on Las Vegas Blvd than you think.
